Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MyClassStudio platform, a class and studio management service available at myclass.studio (the “Service”), operated by MyClassStudio (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

MyClassStudio provides tools for after-school studios and schools — including class scheduling, enrollment, attendance, student progress tracking, forms, events, announcements, inventory, and payment collection. Features vary by role (School Admin, Teacher, Student, Guardian).

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Parents or guardians may add children under 13 as managed Student Profiles under their own account; the parent's or guardian's consent covers that child's data.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

The Service is free for students, guardians, and teachers. Schools are billed a platform subscription:

• Free trial: every new school receives a 3-month free trial starting when the school is approved. A payment method is collected when you register your school, but no charge is made during the trial, and you may cancel before it ends at no cost.
• Subscription fee: after the trial, each school is billed $15.99 per month, per school, via our payment processor, Stripe.
• Transaction fees: when a school collects payments through the Service (tuition, memberships, store purchases), a platform fee per transaction plus Stripe's standard processing fees apply. Current rates are shown to School Admins before they enable payments.

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to affected schools. Price changes never apply retroactively and take effect at the next billing cycle after the notice period. Schools may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law.

Schools using the Service to collect tuition or sell merchandise do so through their own Stripe account. The contract for classes, memberships, and goods is between the school and the student or guardian — MyClassStudio is not a party to that contract. Refunds for class fees or purchases are governed by the school's own policies; contact the school directly. Schools are responsible for the accuracy of their pricing and for applicable taxes on what they sell.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Access or attempt to access data belonging to other users or schools without authorization.
• Upload content that is harmful, infringing, defamatory, or obscene.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, including probing or testing its security without our written permission.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a school.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (school descriptions, announcements, form responses, photos, and similar). You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.

Schools and guardians may enter information about minors (such as managed student profiles and attendance records). School Admins and Guardians represent that they have the authority and any required consent to provide that information. Our handling of children's data is described in the Privacy Policy.

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Schools may cancel their subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms, non-payment of subscription fees, extended inactivity (with prior email warnings), or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination we will delete or anonymize your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyClassStudio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 if you have paid nothing).

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top and notify active users via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
